Australian Curriculum

The Australian Curriculum is the core focus of teaching and learning at Camooweal State School for all year levels.

A comprehensive suite of materials, Curriculum into the Classroom (C2C), for classroom teachers has been developed by Education Queensland using updated versions of the Australian Curriculum in the areas of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and Health and Physical Education.

The Queensland Essential Learnings are the core elements for learning in Technology and The Arts.

Pedagogy

Camooweal State School is using a Collaborative Inquiry model and the Gradual Release of Responsibility Model when teaching our students. A unit of work provides us with learning intentions and success criteria—this is the assessment task and the guide to making judgements. These are created to align with the curriculum intent. We use these components of a unit of work to build a collaborative inquiry to determine the impact of our teaching on student learning.
